Us: What is CONNECT!?
CONNECT! is a regional collaborative of employment, education, training and business development organizations dedicated to serving the workforce development needs of Silicon Valley. Partner organizations: Today CONNECT! has more than 30 partner organizations located throughout Santa Clara County. The CONNECT! collaborative was formed in 1997 with the goal of establishing a seamless one-stop service-delivery system to better serve customers. The mission of CONNECT! is to link businesses and job seekers with the human resources, career, training, and business development services that will further the economic growth and vitality of Silicon Valley. CONNECT! operates under the policy direction of the NOVA Workforce Board. Partner services: Services are provided at the CONNECT! Job Seeker Center and through CONNECT! Business Services, as well as at all the partner locations.The CONNECT! Job Seeker Center is located at 420 S. Pastoria Avenue in Sunnyvale and provides a full array of free employment services to anyone looking for a job or career transition and advancement opportunities. NOVA, the Employment Development Department, ProMatch, and the Employment Connection provide services full time at the Center. The Department of Rehabilitation, Project HIRED, and Sunnyvale-Cupertino Adult-Community Education provide services at the center on a part-time basis. Other partners offer classes or workshops as scheduled or participate in events at the Center. The business liaisons at CONNECT! Business Services are available to help assess your business needs and to link you with appropriate services and resources from the partner organizations.
